SenCom Vision and Multi-Sensory Impairment Service Third/voluntary Sector

SenCom VMSIS works across five local authorities of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. The aim of the Service is to support the educational opportunities of all children and young people with vision or multi-sensory impairment. VIS supports children and young people from birth through to school leaving age in a variety of settings (home, play-group and school).

Sense Third/voluntary Sector

Sense is a national charity that supports & campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. They offer high-quality, flexible services across the UK, using skilled staff and a dedicated network of volunteers. They work with a wide range of deafblind and multi-sensory impaired people, as well as those with a single-sensory impairment with additional needs. They offer specialist services built around the wishes of each person, enabling them to be as independent as possible.

Share the Vision Third/voluntary Sector

Share the Vision is a coalition of UK organisations that work together to improve the quality, availability, and accessibility of library services for visually impaired and print disabled people.

Sight and Sound Technology Private Sector

Established 30 years ago they supply equipment and services to people with sight impairments. Provide a range of access software, video magnifiers, Braille products, scan and reading machines, mobile phone solutions, training and scripting.

Sight Cymru Third/voluntary Sector

Provides services and support for people with sight loss in South Wales. In addition to listed services they run various events throughout the year such as coffee mornings, Annual Expo, i-Sight conference etc and have a specialist knowledge about people with Sight Loss and Learning Disabilities and those from different ethnicities who are at greater risk of sight loss.

SOVIL has members from all parts of the profession, including solicitors and barristers in private practice, those working in local and central government, academics and law students.
