New Sight Cymru Groups starting in January

Sight Cymru is launching new social groups and vision impaired tennis sessions in January.

The social groups are:

  • Sight Cymru Social Hub at Tredegar Library. The first session is on Friday 12th January from 10.30 am -12.30 pm.
  • Sight Cymru Social Hub at Penarth Library. The first session is on Friday 19th January from 10 am -12 noon.
Both of these social hubs will meet monthly and enable people with sight impairment to get together for peer support, and provide the opportunity to extend social networks. There will be a range of speakers, trips out and activities that the members decide on at the initial meeting. There will be no fees collected and all activities that are chargeable will be on a pay as you go basis.

The VI tennis sessions start on Tuesday 9th January are held from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Active Living Centre at Trosnant Street, Pontypool NP4 8AT. There will be a small charge of around £4 per session. These are pilot sessions during January, future sessions will depend on the level of interest.

Sight Cymru already runs fortnightly VI groups on Tuesdays in Barry (Golau Caredig Housing, Barry) and Cowbridge library.

If you would like to attend any of these events, or would like further information, please contact Stacey Evans on postman@sightcymru.org.uk.
