Specsavers release 'State of the Nation's Eye Health 2022' report
Specsavers has produced a report on the state of eye health in the UK and have raised particular concerns that long waiting lists are creating a potential ‘tidal wave’ of avoidable sight loss, particularly due to glaucoma.
The report includes a section on the situation in Wales, where oththalmology has the longest wait times of all hospital specialities, but reform to make the delivery of glaucoma care in the community more consistent is already underway.
