Senedd Health and Social Care Committee publishes report on the impact of waiting times
A new report from the Health and Social Care Committee of the Senedd/Welsh Parliament raises concerns about the impact of the waiting time backlog on patients - including delays in eye care appointments.
'Waiting well? The impact of the waiting times backlog on people in Wales' is based on feedback from individuals and organisations across Wales, and identifies opthalmology as one of the specialties with the highest number of patient pathways awaiting treatment. It welcomes the Welsh Government efforts to move more services into the community, but says that this needs to be done much more quickly.
