Report raises concerns about delays to treatment of stroke patients experiencing sight problems in Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB
Prior to the Covid 19 pandemic, Cwm Taf Morgannwg Community Health Council (CHC) undertook a series of monitoring visits to stroke wards and stroke rehabilitation outpatient clinics across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and to stroke support groups. The report raises concerns about the support provided to patients experiencing sight problems.
Only 50% of inpatients who required help with sight problems felt that they had received adequate support and were experiencing long waits for opthalmology appointments. You can read the full report here.
