Covid 19 vaccine advice from Guide Dogs
The Guide Dogs organisation has published advice for people with sight loss about the rollout of Covid 19 vaccines which answers many of the questions that people will have.
The information, which you can read here covers topics including the safety of the vaccine, how you will be invited and taking you guide dog, but note that the references to the NHS are for the health service in England. Information for Wales can be found on the NHS Wales website.
Your guide dog can legally accompany you when you get your vaccine. However, to avoid any delays on the day, it is recommended that you let the vaccination centre know that you will be bringing your guide dog, in case they need to make additional provisions.
