Welsh Government publishes disability statistics
The Welsh Government's Statistics unit has published the Local Authority registers of disabled people as at 31 March 2019.
The figures show that 13,137 people in Wales were registered with a visual impairment, of whom 49% were registered as severely sight impaired and 51% as sight impaired. The total number of people with a physical or sensory disability was 52,295. For more information, click here.
