'Equal Power, Equal Voice' public life mentoring programme invites applications

'Equal Power Equal Voice' is a mentoring programme, funded by the Welsh Government and the National Lottery Community Fund, which aims to see more disabled people, and those from other under-represented groups, in decision making positions in Wales including public boards, health boards, elected positions in local government and UK or Welsh Parliament, charity trustees, school governors, and as community activists. Applications are invited for the first round of the programme.

This phase of the programme will involve mentoring, training and peer to peer support. The scheme is being run by a group of charities representing these groups, including Disability Wales. To find out more about the scheme and make an application, click here.

Before the closing date for applications (26th September), a series of online sessions are being held, giving the opportunity to find out more about the scheme, and what it involves. These will be on 14th 18th and 22nd September, and places can be booked here.
