The Trust of Arthur William Linnecar.
Background.
Arthur Linnecar of Ammanford died in 1984 and left a considerable sum in his will for the benefit of blind people in the parish of Ammanford.
The scope of the Trust was subsequently widened and it was can now provide grants to assist blind people in the three counties of Dyfed (Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire & Cardiganshire).
Purpose
The Trust exists to give grants to people who are registered blind and who live in the counties of Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
It cannot give grants to people who are registered partially sighted or who are unregistered. Nor can it give grants to replace public funding although it can supplement such funding.
Grants agreed in the past included awards for computer equipment, holidays, household equipment and for the relief of financial difficulties.
Amount to apply for
Grants are usually within the range of £100 - £400

Applications can be made in any of three ways:
1. through one of the three local voluntary societies
2. via the local Social Services Department
3. directly to the Trust at Wales Council for the Blind
