The Ceredigion Association for the Blind considers requests for individual
grants in cases of need. These are dealt with confidentially by using a
numbering system.
Criteria for Grant-Giving
Those eligible for grant-aid are:
- people with serious and uncorrectable visual impairments, of any age
- those who have been referred by the Rehabilitation Officer in Ceredigion
Social Services.
How to apply:
- The application must be in writing
- There is no application form
- The application must give information on sight condition, personal
circumstances, subject of application
- Applications are considered at quarterly meetings of the Executive
Officers
- Applications must have been submitted by the date of the meeting
- Successful applications are turned around within two or three days
- Cheques are signed to the applicant
- An acknowledgement form is issued and that, or a receipt, must be
returned.
Grant-aid is given in cases of need.
The need must be related to the visual impairment and caused by it.
Trustees reserve the right to decide whether they consider that the need is in
fact closely related to the visual impairment.

- Holidays
- Books
- Study fees
- Debts
