Cambrian Educational Trust

The Cambrian Educational Trust.

Background.

The Cambrian Educational Trust Fund began life as the North Wales School for the Blind, becoming the North Wales Trust Fund in 1952. It was transferred to Wales Council for the Blind in 1995.

Purpose.

The Trust gives assistance to those who are blind or partially sighted and under the age of 21 years. Preference will be given to those born or resident in Wales or can demonstrate a connection with Wales.

Grants are meant to promote education and to provide for care and maintenance. This can include such things as:
computer equipment, holidays, training maintenance, recreation.

Amount to apply for.

Grants are not usually awarded for more than £300-400 and ideally we look for a contribution from the applicant or other source towards the full cost.

How to apply.

A simple application form can be obtained from Wales Council for the Blind or from this Web Site and, after completion, should be posted to our address below.
